Hossein Baharvand was born in 1972 and obtained his Ph.D degree in 2004 in the field of Developmental Biology from Kharazmi University (formerly Tarbiat Moallem University), Tehran, Iran. He began work at the Royan Institute in Tehran from 1996. He is currently full professor and head of Department of Stem Cells and Developmental Biology at Royan institute for Stem Cell Biology and Technology.
